Working towards a better future, together

Providing an exceptional, well planned project experience for clients across New Zealand

As an independent construction consultancy, we provide end-to-end client representation throughout New Zealand, working with ports, airports and government agencies including regional and district councils.

What we offer extends far beyond the industry norm. We invest in you as a partner, building enduring relationships, setting exceptional standards, and developing your people while sharing our vast expertise.

Industry Leadership

We aspire to be industry leaders, shaping the construction landscape by setting a precedent of excellence, fostering a culture of collaboration, and inspiring positive change. Our aim is to contribute to the collective growth and advancement of the construction industry as a whole.

 Our People, Our Awa

The Seven Rivers name is inspired by Te Awa (The Rivers) of the people who make up our team. Rivers are of significant importance to many cultures throughout the world and are a source of movement and connection, allowing life to flow through the whenua (land).

We understand the interconnectedness and implications of everything we do: socially, culturally, economically, and environmentally. Our team acts as the conduit for progression and success for every one of our clients’ projects.

Beyond our core team, we tap into an expansive talent pool, ensuring we bring the right expertise to every project.

Stuart Bailey

Managing Director

Stuart has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, supporting the delivery of various projects, from residential developments to major infrastructure projects.

Off duty, you can find Stuart jamming on his guitar, just like his gig days with his band, Rhino. He loves family hangouts and is a sucker for B&J’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream. Stuart lives by the motto “You only live once” and sees the Sarcastic Fringehead (look it up!) as his spirit animal.

Luca Barone

Senior Project Manager

A project manager with extensive experience in civil engineering projects, Luca is passionate about procurement procedures and contract
management.

With strong communication skills and a passion for drawing, Luca’s only downfall is his inability to resist a cornetto with pistachio cream for breakfast.

Andrew Diffey

Project Manager

An experienced Project Manager, Andrew has worked within the Civil industry for 18 years, in roles including drafting, design and project management. More recently, he’s been working in roading, managing contractors and projects as either Contract Engineer or Engineer’s rep.

When he’s not steering projects, you’ll catch him by the Koranga River or banging out rhythms on his electronic drum kit. Andrew considers his spiritual animal to be the polar bear!

Elettra Pasquini

Contract Engineer

Elettra’s passion for contract management, a strong background in hydraulics and environmental issues, and extensive international work experience keep our team ahead in industry trends and global practices.

Elettra’s first concert was Luciano Ligabue in Italy, and she loves walking to calm down. While chips might be her guilty pleasure, she firmly believes that money spent on food is well-spent, thanks to her grandma’s advice. Also, she has a secret talent: she can sing!

Maria Abercrombie

Digital Lead & Project Manager

Maria Abercrombie serves as the Digital Lead for the digital at Seven Rivers and InfraPoint, an AI-powered cost database that centralises and streamlines project cost management for the construction industry.

In addition, she is a Project Manager for community-based projects across the Tairāwhiti Region, ensuring seamless project delivery, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes. Maria combines her expertise in digital innovation and project management to drive impactful solutions that support regional growth and industry transformation.

Logan Pierard

Quantity Surveyor

A highly experienced and systematic quantity surveyor, Logan has supported the procurement and delivery of several minor/major civil infrastructure and commercial projects around New Zealand.

A lover of hot sauces and a self-proclaimed “garbage disposal” — the only thing Logan can’t be trusted around is food!

Manawa Irwin

Apprentice Quantity Surveyor

Manawa always gives one hundred percent to any task that he is given. His exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are complemented by his fluency in Te Reo Māori.

The best advice Manawa has ever been given is that “winners are just losers who tried one more time” — a statement that resonates with us all here at Seven Rivers.

Kristine Peck

H&S Manager & Office Manager

Keeping our in-house operations running like a well-oiled wheel, Kristine has become an integral part of our team.

Classing a wood pigeon as her spirit animal, Kristine swoops in on all our administrative challenges with expert precision while still managing to grow strawberries and make fruit wine in her spare time!
